Go and gather the lost sheep...

Go and gather the lost sheep.

Matthew 10:5-8

5-8Jesus sent his twelve harvest hands out with this charge:

"Don't begin by traveling to some far-off place to convert unbelievers. And don't try to be dramatic by tackling some public enemy. Go to the lost, confused people right here in the neighborhood. Tell them that the kingdom is here. Bring health to the sick. Raise the dead. Touch the untouchables. Kick out the demons. You have been treated generously, so live generously."

Just as Jesus sent out His deciples in the above quote He sends us out.

Freely there was given to us, so let us freely go give to them.

Don't be afraid to take that step into the darkness.

May God's Light be with you!

A living promise

Jeremiah 29:11 (amplified)

"11For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome."

When life gets you down and things start to feel like its getting to much, there is always a way out. If you look at the above verse, you will note that God has everything worked out for you. We worry about so many things... and yet we forget that its all held up by the mighty hand of God.

When I did my last year of school I decided that since this is crucial in my life, and I want to see God's promise in my future I put this to the test (not really test it, rather apply it to see results).

As you might know your final points in school is going to determine whether I will be chosen for a job I apply for or if I would want to study at a university I need good points to be able to do most of the courses.

So I prayed, making sure I understand jer29:11 and said to God: "This is important for my future, which I want to live for You... I will do all I can in that year to glorify Him, but I will not put that kind of determination into my school work. You promise me that You have my future in your hand, so now I leave it in your hands."

Through that year I gave my all to Him spending most of my time doing the work of God, but I still participated in the usual school activities handing in the work required of me.

After the final exams (for which I didn't study for a single one) when I got my results I got the best marks that I got through my whole school career!!!

Dont worry so much. Seek God and put your faith in His Word.

God bless you!
